(SOUTH HURON, ON) – On Friday 25 February, 2011 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of Huron County OPP, West Region ERT and the OPP Canine Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Simcoe Street in the Municipality of South Huron (Exeter).
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized cannabis marihuana bud, crack cocaine and oxycodone pills. The estimated combined street value of the controlled substances is $15,596.00. Over $1,500.00 in Canadian currency was also seized from the residence as offence related property.
Michael McVEENEY (27) and Jelaine Alexandria JACKSON (19) both of South Huron are charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking (cannabis marihuana), possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking (crack cocaine) and possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking (oxycodone pills).
