Wingham Police Make Arrest in Vacant House Break and Enters

Earlier this month police warned of vacant houses being entered with wire and copper piping being stolen. Following an investigation into these matters, police were able to obtain a search warrant and on February 27th Wingham Police executed the search warrant on a John Street residence. During the search a quantity of wire insulation along with stolen tools and construction items were located.

24 year old Michael Greer of Wingham is charged with one count of Possession of Break In Tools, four counts of Break and Enter with Theft, one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 and five counts of Breach Probation. Greer is to appear in court on April 19th to answer to the charges.
