On February 17th, 2016, just after 1:00pm, officers from the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Unit, assisted by officers from the Criminal Investigations Branch, Community Oriented Response and Enforcement Unit (CORE) and Uniform Patrol executed a drug search warrant at an apartment on 10th Street West in Owen Sound.
As a result of the search, police seized methamphetamine and cocaine with a street value of $2500.00. Police also located a variety of narcotics in addition to scales, packaging, a safe, approximately $1000.00 cash and other evidence of trafficking from the residence.
Forty-four year old Rhonda FUGERE of Owen Sound has been charged with:
Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Morphine for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Lorazepam for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Marihuana
Possession of Proceeds of Crime
A man who was visiting the residence at the time was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant in London, Ontario and was also taken into custody to be turned over to the London Police.
FUGERE has been held in custody and will appear in Bail Court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on February 18th, 2016.
