On Monday February 26 th , 2018 just before 5:00pm, the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Unit with assistance from Uniform Patrol officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the 700 block of 9 th Avenue East, Owen Sound.
The subsequent investigation revealed that the vehicle occupants were in possession methamphetamine and a small amount of fentanyl. One male occupant was also found to be concealing a flare gun in the waist band of his pants.
A 28 year old male, of no fixed address, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, carrying a concealed weapon, breach of weapons prohibition, and failing to comply with various probation conditions. He was held for a bail hearing on February 27 th , 2018.
A 24 year old female from Chatsworth, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine and failing to comply with recognizance. She was held for a bail hearing on February 27 th , 2018.
A 24 year old male from Chatsworth, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine. He was later released from custody.
The total street value of the methamphetamine seized was approximately $1000.
