(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On Wednesday, April 25, 2018, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with the assistance of the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Huron County OPP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence located on King Street, in the Municipality of Central Huron (Kinburn), Huron County, Ontario.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized methamphetamine, heroin, hydromorphone pills, ecstasy pills, codeine pills and cannabis marihuana. The estimated, combined street value of the seized controlled substances is $7,100.
Police also seized offence related property that consisted of drug trafficking paraphernalia and cash. A prohibited weapon (pepper spray) was also seized from the residence.
Heather LEITH, 33 years of age from Central Huron is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine & Heroin for the Purposes of Trafficking. She is also charged with Possession of Ecstasy, Hydromorphone, Codeine, Cannabis Marihuana and a Prohibited Weapon
She has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for June 11, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
