On the 15th of November 2017, as a result of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking and weapons possession, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service with assistance from members of the Woodstock Police Service arrested a 30 year old male and a 20 year old female, both residents of the Kitchener area on outstanding warrants, at a hotel in the Woodstock area. As a result of the arrests, Police have seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl, cannabis marihuana, methamphetamine, various types of firearm ammunition, brass knuckles, bear spray and other edged weapons. Both persons are being held in custody for Bail hearings for numerous charges including Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Controlled Substances, Possession of Prohibited Weapons, Breaching Court Orders and Court Ordered Weapons Prohibition Orders.
