On Monday July 25, at around 9:00 am, a quantity of prescription methadone was lost in the city when it was left behind in an eatery on 9th Street East.
The victim left the eatery and forgot to take his camouflage coloured back pack with him.
Inside the back pack he had a locked black coloured carrying case that contained the methadone.
The victim contacted the Owen Sound Police on Wednesday July 27, after he made attempts to locate the back pack containing the six (6) /200 ml units of methadone.
Each methadone unit is a bottle about the size of a juice box, and has a child-proof lid.
A small dose of this drug can be dangerous to children and it can also be dangerous to adults if a full dose is taken.
If located, please contact the Owen Sound Police Service. Anyone with information regarding this occurrence can contact the investigating officer Police Constable Houston at 519-376- 1234 ext 177.
