Meth-Head Caught With Stolen Bike Frame

On August 27, 2015 at 4:45 a.m., the Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop with a male riding a bike in the area of Wyndham Street and Macdonell Street. The male was carrying a bike frame as he rode and had no lighting on his bike. Investigation discovered that the male was in possession of a small quantity of Crystal Meth, a wire cutting tool and that the bike frame had been reported stolen on August 18, 2015. The male was arrested.

A 23-year-old Guelph man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance (CDSA), possession of break in tools, possession of stolen property and two counts of breach of probation. He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with improper bicycle lighting. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on August 27, 2015.

Break and enter

On August 26, 2015 the Guelph Police went to a dealership located on Woodlawn Road West to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) damaged the gates to the property and stole a silver 2009 BMW sometime overnight.

Bikes stolen

On August 26, 2015 the Guelph Police received stolen bike complaints from residences on Tiffany Street and Edinburgh Road South. Another complaint reported that on August 22 the tire of a bike locked on Gordon Street had been removed and replaced with a different tire.
