(BRANT TWP, ON) – On August 13th, 2011 at 10:00 pm, members of the South Bruce OPP set up a R.I.D.E. check on Concession 2, Brant Township. At 10:26 pm, a Grey Ford Focus stopped at the R.I.D.E.; officers found open alcohol and a quantity of illicit drugs in the vehicle. 20 year old Melanie CARRUTHERS of Ripley is charged with Possess a controlled substance and Having care of vehicle with open alcohol. She is scheduled to appear in Court on September 12th, 2011 to answer to the charges.
