Medical Issues Lead to Collisions

On July 22, 2015 at 2:50 p.m. Guelph Police were called to the intersection of College Avenue and Victoria Road for a collision. It is alleged that a single vehicle struck a guard rail. Investigation revealed the collision was a result of a medical issue. A male driver was transported to Guelph General Hospital for treatment.

On July 22, 2015 at 3:50 p.m. Guelph Police were called to the intersection of Stone Road and Edinburgh Road for a collision. It is alleged that a single vehicle struck a center median. Investigation revealed the collision was a result of a medical issue. A male driver was transported to Guelph General Hospital for treatment.

Theft of Car Parts

On July 22, 2015 at 9:40 a.m. Guelph Police were called to a dealership in the north end, where there was a report of car parts stolen. Culprit(s) stole a tire and brake parts from the dealership.

Theft of Bicycles

On July 22, 2015 at 10:32 p.m. Guelph Police were called to a condominium complex on MacDonell Street, where there was a report of a theft. Suspect(s) entered into a bicycle storage area and stole eight bicycles.

Multiple Break and enter Incidents Investigated

In the late evening hours of July 21and into July 22, 2015 unknown suspect(s) entered a Cash Store in the downtown area of Guelph after initially gaining entry through a neighbouring business. Approximately $40,000 was stolen.

On July 22, 2015, the Guelph Police were advised of a break and enter to a storage unit on Kirkby Court. The culprit(s) entered sometime overnight and stole fishing equipment and other household items.

On July 22, 2015, the Guelph Police were advised of a break and enter to a school portable on College Avenue West. The culprit(s) entered sometime overnight and caused damage to property.

On July 22, 2015, the Guelph Police were advised of a break and enter to a residential garage on Heather Avenue. The culprit(s) entered the unlocked garage sometime within the last two days and stole a bicycle.

Theft from cars

On July 22, 2015 the Guelph Police received five reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Cavelle Avenue, Grange Road, Ferndale Avenue and two on Louisa Drive.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible.
