(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating the weekend robbery of a convenience store and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible.
On Sunday June 12, 2016, at approximately 12:50 am, a lone suspect entered a convenience store situated along the 2000 block of Meadowbrook Road. The suspect proceeded to go behind the counter, produced a large knife, and made a demand for money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed quantity of cash, as well as a quantity of cigars, and fled the premises. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, 35-40 yrs, and brown hair, of average build. At the time he was wearing baseball cap, light blue jeans, and carried a white plastic bag (images attached.)
