You might think there was a furious debate in chambers about
spending 15% more on Town Staffing, but you would be wrong.
Council was presented with the budget before the March 18 council
meeting. Council had no questions, period! Council sat
there and questioned absolutely nothing in the budget.
Shortly after the budget presentation on March 18, the council
meeting started. The budget was passed/approved with no
debate. Even Bernie Bailey and Ray Hallahan, that once fought
for a hiring and a wage freeze, sat silent, and rubber stamped the
15% increase in town staffing expense. Below is the video
