On May 27 th , 2016 a 16 year old Owen Sound female was arrested and charged for possession of stolen property, being a paddle boat. The boat was not the one previously reported stolen to police on May 25 th . Police are asking if anyone along the water’s edge is missing a paddle boat to contact the Owen Sound Police Service.
Police are currently looking for a 34 year old male who had been seen in the company of the young female. Investigation revealed that this male was in possession of a stolen kayak. The kayak had been stolen sometime between May 23 rd , 2016 and May 25 th , 2016 from the area of the 400 block of 4 th Avenue East, Owen Sound.

On May 27 th , 2016 the Owen Sound Police Service recovered a stolen kayak.
Investigation revealed that 34 year old Matthew McKeever had been in possession of it earlier in the day. Owen Sound Police later located the Owen Sound man in the downtown area. He was arrested for the being in possession of the stolen property.
Police also found McKeever to be in possession of 2 bullets despite being on 2 court orders that prohibited him from possessing ammunition. McKeever was held for a weekend bail hearing. He was later released by the court and must again attend court on June 23 rd , 2016 to answer to charges of theft, possession of stolen property and breach of a prohibition order x2.
