Matthew Grace – Dangerous Driving, Breach, Assault etc

(SAUGEEN FIRST NATION, ON) On June 23, 2013 shortly after four in the afternoon, Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were contacted regarding a male who was driving dangerously on the Saugeen First Nation beach.

Police attended the area and observed the male exiting his car. As officers spoke to the man, he began to shout obscenities at them and was arrested for causing a disturbance. The man is on probation and was found to be in violation of his release conditions. En route to the Wiarton Detachment he continued to act out, causing damage to one of the police cruisers, and while being lodged into the holding cell, he assaulted one of the officers.

Twenty-three year old Matthew GRACE of Fergus is charged with Dangerous Driving, Cause Disturbance, Mischief, Breach of Probation, and Assault a Peace Officer. He was held for a bail hearing to take place at Walkerton Court on Monday June 24, 2013.
