(MUNICIAPLITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) – On Friday, November 9, 2012, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a Reduced Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) program in Mitchell.
At approximately 10:55 p.m., officers observed a green Toyota automobile enter into the check point. Upon speaking with the male driver, officers observed signs that he was under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested for impaired operation. The driver was transported to Perth County OPP detachment in Sebringville where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.
Matthew BORDIGNON (26) of the Municipality of West Perth has been charged with “impaired operation of a motor vehicleâ€Â, and “operation with over 80 mgs of alcoholâ€Â. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on December 9, 2012, to answer to these charges. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension, and his pickup truck was impounded for seven days.
