(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A sobriety check on a 32 year old driver resulted in an arrest for drug possession and over 80 charges. On February 24, 2013 at 1:12 a.m. Huron OPP officers stopped a Dodge Ram pickup truck on Road 164 north of Kirkton Road. Upon speaking with the driver of the truck officers noted the driver had been drinking alcohol.
A roadside screening test was completed, which the driver failed. Upon arrest the driver was searched and illegal drugs were found.
As a result, Marshall MIDDLETON, 32, from South Huron has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to section 4(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He has a court appearance scheduled for April 25, 2013 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
