On January 15, 2015 at 6:30 p.m., a westbound GO Train struck a 33-year-old Guelph man in the area between Alma Street and Silvercreek Parkway. The male was pronounced dead at the scene. The male has been identified and next of kin notified. The investigation is ongoing and a post mortem is being conducted at Hamilton General hospital on January 16.
