Barrie Police were called to an intoxicated male sitting in the parking lot of a business at 555 Essa Rd. The officers arrived on scene and located a 49 yr old Barrie man sitting on the ground with no shoes on. The officers determined that the male was so intoxicated that he was placed under arrest for his own safety under the authority of the Liquor Licence Act. The male was held until sober and released with a Provincial Offences ticket for being intoxicated in a public place under the Liquor Licence Act.
