(South Huron, ON) On August 2, 2009 shortly before 2:00 am police were dispatched to an Exeter residence in response to a noise complaint. The noise was confirmed to be excessive and officers ensured that it was turned down. Police were then called back to the same residence shortly before 5:00 am for the same complaint. The individual was reluctant to comply with officers and keep his music down. At that time officers were aware that repeated warnings had been issued to the same individual for the same complaint and the situation was not changing.
As a result of repeated calls, John Boon (45) of Exeter was arrested on August 2, 2009 for Mischief and charged. He was given a court date in Exeter for September 24, 2009. He was also released with certain conditions to follow.
On August 20, 2009 just after midnight, police were called for the same thing again. During the investigation, it was determined that John Boon had breached his release conditions in addition to continuing to blare his music. Boon indicated that he would be turning his music up as soon as officers left. As a result, he was arrested a second time and held in custody for a bail hearing. He is now facing a second charge of Mischief and one count of Fail to Comply with Undertaking. LP09210972
