(WALKERTON, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), under the direction of Detective Inspector GILPIN, is investigating a sexual assault of a young person which occurred on December 24, 2009 in Walkerton, Ontario.
The investigation has resulted in the OPP having arrested and charged 28-year-old Ronald Robert James TAYLOR from Canadian Forces Base Borden, Ontario with the following offences;
o 1 count Sexual Interference – Section 151 C.C.C.
o 1 count Sexual Assault – Section 271 C.C.C.
o 1 count Sexual Exploitation – Section 153(a) C.C.C.
o 1 count Forcible Confinement – Section 279(2) C.C.C.
o 1 count Fail to Comply with Recognizance of Bail – Section 145(3) C.C.C.
TAYLOR was arrested in Walkerton on December 24, 2009 and remains in custody at the Walkerton Jail where he is scheduled to appear via a video remand on January 13, 2010.
