(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Huron County & South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers, along with members from the West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), Emergency Response Team (ERT) & Canine Unit are actively containing two properties in relation to a weapons related incident that started yesterday afternoon.
OPP members have two farm properties under containment while they make efforts to locate the involved male. The Huron County site is located just north of Kintail on Belfast Road and the second property is located in Bruce County just south of Ripley near Concession 4 and Concession 6.
Due to the safety concerns for all involved parties police are restricting access in and around the two containment sites.
The male involved in this incident is 29 years of age. He is described as being around 6′ in height and weighing around 200 pounds. He has a medium build with black hair and he was last seen wearing blue jeans and a brown sweatshirt.
As always, homeowners are encouraged to secure their property and vehicles. Lock your vehicles when they are unattended and always pocket your ignition key.
OPP is requesting residents in the area to report any suspicious persons or suspicious activity on or in relation to your property. Should this male be observed on your property do not confront the male; call police by dialing 9-1-1.
