(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On December 3, 2015, at approximately 2:58 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a possible impaired driver travelling northbound on Highbury Avenue, near Fourteen Mile Road.
The black Volkswagen car activated its high beams towards the police vehicle, which was travelling southbound. When police turned around, the Volkswagen stopped in the middle of the roadway.
Officers determined the male driver had been drinking alcohol. He was placed under arrest, and transported to a Huron County OPP detachment for breath testing.
As a result of the police investigation, 28-year-old Christopher KEENER, from St. Mary’s, Ontario, has been charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), and care or control over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to appear in a London court to answer the charges on January 7, 2015.
