The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a disturbance in Chatham last night.
Shortly after 10:00 p.m. police responded to a residence on Raleigh Street in regards to an altercation. At this time, a woman reported that she had been assaulted by a neighbour while he was brandishing a knife. The woman did not require medical attention.
A 32-year-old Chatham man has been arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and assault. He was released with conditions pending a future court date.
