Yesterday afternoon, an officer on general patrol observed a man sitting in a vehicle with the ignition running on Duke Street in Chatham. The vehicle only had a rear licence plate attached to it. Through investigation, the officer learned that the licence plate was not registered to the vehicle. The plate was seized as evidence.
The 28-year-old Duart man was charged with using a licence plate not authorized for a vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
