Man Charged with Traffic Offences

Yesterday afternoon, around 2:00 p.m. an officer on general patrol observed a man driving his car on William Street near King Street East in Chatham with an expired validation sticker of August 2000. The officer initiated a traffic stop and learned that the man was driving his vehicle with two different licence plates. The man also failed to provide valid ownership and insurance for the vehicle.

The 53-year-old Blenheim man was charged with:
– Using a plate not authorized for the vehicle
– Failing to surrender his permit for the motor vehicle
– Driving a motor vehicle with no currently validated permit
– Operating a motor vehicle on a highway with no insurance

The man’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
