The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a theft investigation in Chatham.
On August 11, 2013, police responded to a residence on Taylor Avenue in regards to a theft complaint. At this time, a man was observed entering the lobby and stealing two cameras valued at about $100 each.
Through investigation, police identified the man responsible for the theft.
Just before 9:00 a.m. yesterday morning, officers located the man riding a bicycle in the area of Wellington Street and First Street. The 26-year-old Chatham man was arrested and has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
