Man Charged with Theft

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a theft complaint in Chatham last night.

Around 9:00 p.m. the man attended a residence on Blythewood Crescent to visit a woman known to him. Upon leaving, the man stole the woman’s e-bike. The woman contacted police when she noticed her e-bike was missing. Through investigation, officers found the e-bike on Park Avenue West and returned it to the woman. Shortly after 10:00 p.m. the man was located and taken into custody.

Kevin Parker, 48 years, of Queen Street in Chatham has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He was released from custody pending a future court date.
