The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation.
On Saturday, April 26, 2014, police responded to a residence on Selton Line in Orford Township in regards to a stolen vehicle. At this time, the registered owner reported that sometime overnight her unlocked Chrysler Neon had been stolen. Later this same day, the victim received a message from a man, known to her, stating that he had taken the car.
Last night, around 11:15 p.m. police located the man on Grand Avenue East in Chatham and he was arrested. The 18-year-old Chatham man has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He was released with conditions pending a future court date.
