Man Charged with Theft

Yesterday afternoon, police attended Shopper’s Drug Mart on Queen Street in Chatham in regards to a shoplifting complaint. A store employee witnessed the man conceal a package of sour Skittles in his sweater pocket. The man exited the store making no attempt to pay for the candy.

Josh Davis, 27 years, of Baldoon Road in Chatham was arrested and charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He was released pending a future court date.
