The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for impaired driving in Chatham early this morning.
Around 12:30 a.m. an officer on general patrol observed a man driving suspiciously in the area of Queen Street and Lorne Avenue. The officer initiated a traffic stop and through investigation believed the man was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The man was arrested and transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.
Jordan Johnston, 22 years of Surf Club in St. Joachim has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He has been released with conditions pending a future court date.
