(Ottawa)— In August 2015 the Ottawa Police Service launched an investigation after a man had been extorted of a large amount of money with respect to some dealings he had with a male acquaintance. This incident occurred in June of 2015 in the Market area of downtown.
As a result of the investigation Jason Tabbara, age 41, of Greely has been charged with one count of extortion and one count of impersonating a peace officer. He will appear in on September 10, 2015.
