On Tuesday, December 23rd at around 6:30 a.m., police responded to a Chatham residence in regards to a noise complaint. Upon their arrival, the sole male occupant let officers into his home. While speaking with the man, officers saw what appeared to be methamphetamine on a spoon lying on the table in the room. The man was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Police also learned that the man had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The 60-year-old Chatham man was released pending a future court date of January 8, 2015.
