Man Charged with Domestic Related Offences

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic disturbance in Dresden yesterday.

On July 31, 2013, the man and woman were walking on North Street when they began arguing over a child custody matter. At this time, the man pulled the woman’s hairband and ripped it off her head. The woman was not physically injured and the man eventually left the area. On this same date, the man smashed a taillight on the woman’s mom’s van while it was parked on North Street.

Officers responded and the man was located and arrested at his residence. The 18-year-old Dresden man has been charged with assault and mischief under $5000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
