The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic incident last night in Chatham.
Shortly after 9:00 p.m. officers responded to a residence on Gregory Drive in regards to a domestic disturbance. At this time, a 21-year-old woman reported that her ex-boyfriend attended the residence, kicked the door in and physically assaulted her. The man fled the residence prior to police arrival. The woman did not require medical attention.
Through investigation, officers learned that the man was currently bound by a probation order not to attend that residence. Just before 10:00 p.m. officers located the man and he was arrested.
The 22-year-old Chatham man has been charged with break and enter, assault and breach of probation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
