The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic related incident.
On May 31, 2014 the man was released from custody with several conditions. Two of these conditions stated that he was to notify the CKPS of his new address within 24 hours and to abstain from communicating directly or indirectly with a specific Chatham woman.
On this same date, shortly after his release, the man called the woman and left a message on her voicemail. On June 1, 2014, the man called the woman again, leaving her a message. As of 8:00 p.m. the man still had not provided police with an address as per his release conditions.
Yesterday afternoon, police located the man on Grand Avenue East and he was arrested. The 65-year-old Chatham man has been charged with three counts of failing to comply. He has been released pending a future court date.
