The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a domestic disturbance in Ridgetown.
On December 14, 2014 the man and his common-law wife began arguing. The incident turned into a physical altercation when the man assaulted the woman. The man left the residence prior to police arrival. Attempts were made to locate the man, however when unsuccessful, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Yesterday morning, the man turned himself in to police headquarters. The 44-year-old Ridgetown man was charged with five counts of assault. He was transported to the court house pending a bail hearing.
