The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for failing to comply with his release conditions.
Yesterday morning, a woman was driving when she noticed her ex-boyfriend in the area of King Street and Lacroix Street. The man recognized the woman and waved to her. Shortly thereafter, the man called the woman on her cell phone and tried to initiate a conversation.
Through investigation, police learned that the man was currently bound by conditions not to communicate with the woman.
Around 12:30 p.m. officers located the man and he was arrested. The 44-year-old Chatham man has been charged with criminal harassment and failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a future court date.
