The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic disturbance.
On October 24, 2014, the man attended the victim’s residence in Chatham and pushed his way through the door. Once inside the residence, the man assaulted the victim. Through investigation, the victim disclosed a previous incident of domestic assault and mischief.
The man left the area and attended a friend’s house. The man became belligerent and assaulted a woman in the residence. The man fled the area prior to police arrival.
Early this morning, police located the man and he was taken into custody. The 43-year-old Ridgetown man has been charged with break and enter, two counts of assault and two counts of mischief under $5000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
