The Chatham-Kent police have completed their investigation into a collision that occurred in August.
On August 7, 2013 around 10:00 a.m. emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Elizabeth Street in Chatham.
A 50-year-old Chatham man was traveling southbound on Elizabeth Street when he collided with a parked vehicle and hydro pole. The man was transported by ambulance to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with serious injuries and later transferred to a London hospital. Total damage was estimated at $35,000.
After completing a thorough investigation, Peter Ritcey, 51 years of Delaware Avenue in Chatham was charged yesterday with careless driving.
