On January 29, 2014 between 12:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a broiler room of an apartment building on Timmins Crescent in Chatham. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole light bulbs, kitchen and bathroom taps, hoses and various tools. Through investigation, police learned that the stolen taps and light bulbs were installed by a man in a home on Woods Street. Officers recovered the stolen items which had an approximately value of $450.
Officers identified the man responsible and he was arrested last night. The 27-year-old Chatham man has been charged with break and enter and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
