The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a break and enter last night in Chatham.
Around 9:30 p.m. observant citizens contacted police to report that a man dressed in all dark clothing had just forced his way into an apartment on Park Street. Officers responded and located the man inside the residence. Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was found to be in possession of a small flashlight, screwdriver bit and bolt cutters.
The 31-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with break and enter and being in possession of break-in tools. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
