The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for failing to comply with his release conditions.
Earlier this month, the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was to obey a daily curfew of 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Around 3:50 a.m. this morning, an officer on general patrol observed the man walking on Grand Avenue East near Taylor Avenue in Chatham and he was arrested. The officer further learned that the man was also bound a curfew as stated in his Probation Order.
The 18-year-old Chatham man has been charged with failing to comply and breach of probation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
