Man Charged with Being Unlawfully at Large

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for being unlawfully at large.

On February 21, 2014 the man was convicted of criminal offences and given an intermittent sentence to be served at the Chatham Jail on weekends.

On March 22, 2014 the man was required to report to the facility at 8:00 a.m. and he failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Yesterday morning, the man turned himself in to police headquarters. The 32-year-old Howard Township man has been charged with being unlawfully at large. He was transported to the Court House for a bail hearing.
