The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic disturbance in Blenheim.
Yesterday morning, a woman called police to request assistance as she moved her belongings out of her boyfriend’s house. While the officer stood by to keep the peace, the woman reported that on September 19, 2013, she became involved in a verbal argument with her boyfriend which escalated into a physical altercation. It is alleged that the man head bunted the woman in the face, pulled her hair and pushed her into a door. The woman did not seek medical attention.
Through investigation, officers located the man in Chatham yesterday afternoon and he was arrested. The 55-year-old Blenheim man has been charged with assault. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
