(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service responded to a call for service about a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 12:40PM on Wednesday, November 18th in the 900 block of Debra Avenue. An altercation between two males that had originated inside a residence spilled out onto the street and a single shot was fired from a handgun. The bullet was fired at the victim’s vehicle as he attempted to flee the area. The bullet struck the vehicle; fortunately the victim was not hit and was not injured.
The Guns and Gangs Unit investigated the shooting. The accused was later arrested without incident and search warrants were subsequently executed at 2 separate residences. The handgun used in this incident was not recovered. Glodi BUSHIRI, 23 years old of Ottawa, was charged with discharging a firearm, pointing a firearm and several other firearm related offences. He will appear in court on Thursday morning.
