(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A 28 year old male from Exeter was arrested on outstanding warrants this week by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). At approximately 2:00 p.m. on April 13, 2015 the investigating officer spotted the wanted male out for a walk on Sanders Street in Exeter.
The investigating officer was able to confirm the male’s identity and was also able to confirm the male was wanted on outstanding charges. The male was taken into custody and upon searching the male police found the male to be in possession of a quantity of Hydromorphone capsules and a concealed weapon. The concealed weapon, a credit card knife was found in his wallet. The knife is produced to resemble a credit card however it also quickly converts into a razor sharp knife.
28 year old Tony THAMMAVONGSA from South Huron is facing charges of Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Hydromorphone), Carry a Concealed Weapon, two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order and a single count of Fail to Comply with Recognizance.
He remains in custody with a video court appearance scheduled for April 17, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
