Occurrence Type: Warrant for aggravated assault

On May 18th, Barrie Police were called to a north-end Barrie residence for an assault involving two suspects.
Two suspects arrived at a residence and saw a male (victim) in a bedroom with one of the suspect’s girlfriend and another female.
Believing the victim was trying to seduce the females, the two suspects pulled the victim out of the bedroom and beat him into unconsciousness.
The victim suffered several broken bones and was transported to Royal Victoria Hospital.
The suspects fled the scene but both were known to the victim.
Police took out a warrant for their arrest and on May 19th, a 32 year-old Barrie male turned himself in to police.
The male was arrested for aggravated assault and held for a bail hearing.
The second male remains outstanding but an arrest is imminent.
