On March, 16, 2016, at 10:00 pm, an altercation ensued at a south end residence between two parties known to each other. As a result of this altercation, the accused a 42 year old Guelph male struck the victim, a 29 year old Guelph male with an axe causing serious but, non- life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to the GGH for treatment. The accused is charged aggravated assault, assault with weapon and weapons dangerous. He was held for a bail hearing.
