(Ottawa) On Saturday, August 16, 2014 at approximately 1:08 AM, Central Division patrol officers responded to a disturbance in the area of Rideau Street near Dalhousie Street. Officers spoke to one of the males involved and discovered that he had a warrant of apprehension for a Parole Violation. Through the course of their investigation officers located a loaded 9mm handgun concealed on the arrested male.
Ismail ISMAIL, 27 yrs is charged as follows:
Use, handle store firearms carelessly
Possess Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace
Carry Concealed Weapon
Possess prohibited firearm without holding a license and registration certificate
Possess prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license
Occupy motor vehicle with firearm
Possess loaded regulated firearm
Possess firearm obtained by crime
Possess firearm while prohibited (2 counts)
Cause a disturbance by fighting/shouting/swearing
Obstruct/Resist a Peace Officer
ISMAIL will appear in court this morning.
