The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.
On November 21, 2014 around 9:30 p.m. the man and his girlfriend began arguing while standing in a parking lot in Chatham. The incident escalated when the man pushed the woman, kicked her car door and smashed her windshield. Damage to the woman’s vehicle was estimated at $1000. The man fled the area prior to police arrival.
Shortly after 6:00 a.m. this morning, the man attended police headquarters and turned himself in. The 24-year-old Chatham man has been charged with assault and mischief under $5000. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
